Adu Gindy merged the structural grid with the fleeting nature of thoughts and memories for her 2010 exhibit at the Duluth (Minnesota) Art Institute.  Using 12" x 12" square canvases filled with echoes of her daily experiences and arranged in uniform patterns, she created a comic-book style storyline for the viewer to decode or claim as their own.  Each image is a kind of "snapshot" of what she saw, thought about or reflected upon that day – visual pictures much like words in a journal or diary.
